Rangers are great unless you want to play with other people. I had to delete mine on the last mission because I couldn't find a group in three days of searching. I could have used AI, but I was fed up.
The Ranger's skills are unappealing to me. While they are effective in many areas, any other class can perform one of its jobs, but better. I feel like the Ranger is just a Renaissance profession with one useless skill branch.

Hahaha, pfffff.
This is the EXACT reason why we need a 1v1 arena...but failing that, i would be glad to hook up sometime and we can set each other certain challenges. Then we will see if rangers suck.
Good day

Opinions vary, but your ranger/war combo is a good one. In the normal game, you can act as a runner (not the very best one, but good enough), a tank (on a par with a warrior/ranger, though they may dissagree), a solo-farmer, etc. You can also be an interruptor, a trapper, etc. using only ranger skills (which really is not bad). And the ranger/war is actually pretty much the equal to a warrior/ranger when it comes to pvp (less armor versus physical damage, no runes of absorbtion and less direct damage from strength, but more energy and cheaper skills, so you will not have a problem using skills that cost energy a lot). I recommend Axes.
Your only problem will be this: other players that think they know all about the game will see that you are a ranger/war and may not want you in their party, as people often do not understand or do not care for this combination, as expressed by someone here:
"r/w i personally don't see any benefit, except maybe flurry"]
Apart from this, good luck, and you will enjoy your ranger/war, I think.
About that question:
"(oh i have a question, does flurry damage reduce also effect damage from winds, and other preparations?, conjures etc?)"
Answer: nope.

A build can do well in a 1v1 scenario and still suck.

rangers may not be the best runners (try doing the droknar run with a ranger), but they surely are the fastest
With my running ranger (I change to R/W for that) I can run through the desert being stanced all the time, thus running at 125%-133% normal speed
